@DrunkBinary @HostileSpectrum @ArmsControlWonk Cyber shut down Baryaktar drones and Viasat terminals; no fix for the first one, and for the second over Starlink had to be rushed to Ukraine in an emergency.
You just didn't see the shocking Industroyer/Crash Override or NotPetya-style attacks, so we've been desensitized.

@ViasatInternet this company is one of the worst to deal with. They schedule an appointment and don't show up. And expect you to still pay them for not showing up to actually to work. I've been down since Saturday afternoon and they gave me an appointment for today from 8-11 🤬

Stream keeps cutting in and out do to wifi. I do love my starlink but dang it’s been slow lately but better than Viasat still. Just gotta cut down a limb or two to get better service tomorrow cause of obstructions.

@JimScalpert @ViasatInc Unless their service sucks that bad everywhere it’s probably just an overload on backend ***ignments to that server. They should be able to fix it virtually and route your service to a less congested server but that’s just an educated guess. Sorry you can’t call tech support lol

@Iraqveteran8888 Ours went wonky last week. Thought it was the weather. Got a message from starlink that said they’ve detected a problem with our router so they’ve sent us a new one with a new cable. Unbelievable customer service. Viasat would’ve said, we can someone out but nothings gonna change

@HandNF @revhowardarson There is Hughesnet and Viasat competing with Starlink off the top of my head. Viasat actually has a little more dependable speed but much more expensive. It seems like the issue is more with Musk than it is with believing they have a monopoly in particular areas.

At crime data explorer, pick "expanded homicide data" from data dropdown. Go half-way down the page & you can pick by age, ***, race, etc. Subtract "unknowns" from denominator.
