More people having issues with https://t.co/kl73Ozmuya - Can anyone help me move my numbers off of them? They are Twilio phone numbers and I have a corp Twilio account.... Can @twilio support possibly help in this strange situation?

@hknightsf @jeffiel @twilio Why do you think they are leaving? It’s dirty here. Downtown has become a filthy wasteland of needles and human 💩 The taxes are insane and proposals in CA to bring millionaire tax. And the mayor and governor think it’s ok to completely shut down businesses.

@hknightsf @jeffiel @twilio Glad you wrote about this. Funny how some of these billionaires are so willing to trash the city and leave rather than use some of their money to help fix it. $1-2m are like pennies to them.

@hknightsf @jeffiel @twilio In terms of ordinary tech coworkers, my anecdotal impression is that those who planned to settle down in SF are sticking around, while many of those who were planning to work in SF for several years before leaving tech / SF are now accelerating their moves out of SF.

@hknightsf @jeffiel @twilio Why is this tech leaders problems at first place? Problem is city is too dirty to live, continues lockdowns, major drug problems on streets, higher crime rate, too many tents even after pouring so much money on homelessness.

@hknightsf @jeffiel @twilio People accept SF’s problems like they’re unsolvable and an inherent part of the city. Japan has same land m*** of California, 120M people, and an unhorsed population of only 4K. Many other countries with more extreme land constraints. It all comes down to our priorities.

To @jeffiel (Twilio CEO) & @Benioff (Salesforce CEO) - thoughts on people moving?
> Jeff - two types of people, ones that are not of means and those that are extremely well-off. Takes issue with the latter moving simply due to taxes. Shouldn't leave when ppl need you most

@hknightsf @jeffiel @twilio Let’s not forget that Tech companies in SF and their employees have been vilified for years, and unfairly blamed for every City problem, so why would they be sad to move elsewhere.

@hknightsf @jeffiel @twilio As I once heard it said, San Francisco always feels under attack because people always come here to pillage it.
From the Gold Rush to the dot-com boom, people come to extract SF’s riches, then discard what remains.
It’s the pillaging, not the leaving that’s the problem.

@ioscode2 @twilio @onesignal If you realistically think, that you’ll have 100.000 SMS logins/signups, but you don’t think, that you’ll make enough return for $750 worth or API costs, then your business plan is the problem.
If you’re just playing around, then 3/4 of a cent/SMS is not bad to get started.

@JohnHmprpmphr @SMT_Solvers @richburroughs @nicoleperlroth @pati_gallardo @twilio Those are good questions. To what end? Just good, patriotic, corporate governance one always sees from Amazon? @JohnHmprpmphr @SMT_Solvers @richburroughs @nicoleperlroth @pati_gallardo @twilio Also begs the question, why shut down a leaky, insecure honeypot for insurrectionists and would-be domestic terrorists? It should be an ongoing intelligence gold mine, in real-time. Instead, you drive them underground, or to encrypted platforms?
That seems like a dumb strategy.

@JohnHmprpmphr @SMT_Solvers @richburroughs @nicoleperlroth @pati_gallardo @twilio They removed the app and shut down a business...and they colluded with other service providers, with no warning to their client. @JohnHmprpmphr @SMT_Solvers @richburroughs @nicoleperlroth @pati_gallardo @twilio It was a partisan power play by the world’s richest man, because he could. They’ve done nothing FB, YT and Twitter don’t do daily, globally, in mult. languages. @JohnHmprpmphr @SMT_Solvers @richburroughs @nicoleperlroth @pati_gallardo @twilio That is quite a leap, but you aren’t the only one.
