If you inquired for a session look at your spam folder for replies. I no longer will be using ProtonMail due to this reoccurring issue.

@libertytarian I wanted to send 💰 for the move through @Zelle. It's telling me you've been suspended. "This davidknightshow@protonmail.com has been suspended. Call (800)355-0641 to resolve the issue.". Anyone else ran into this? I opened a new account just for this purpose too.

@ProtonMail I completely get that Google needs to monetize via ads in order to pay for it's 'free' services, and don't have an issue with that per se (just the method - read: 'tracking'). But it did come across slightly disingenuous saying the hardware was uber secure, when the data isn't.

That is not true, it can be done. I also had a lengthy report "disappear" over an hours gap just when it was almost finished. Put it like this, someone in the know once told me to always delete your emails as they can easily be picked up/accessed. Use encrypted, eg protonmail

@sunknudsen @ProtonCalendar @ProtonMail @signalapp @mullvadnet If it's still an issue after that, we probably need you to capture logs with either the bug report capture tool or adb logcat in order to have any hope of figuring out what's happening. It's likely it's an app installation order issue which would be very visible in the logs.

@sunknudsen @ProtonCalendar @ProtonMail @signalapp @mullvadnet If the issue isn't that you have battery saver enabled, you should try removing the Play Store, Play services and GSF along with the apps depending on them and reinstalling them again. Make sure you're installing GSF / Play services before the apps depending on them.

@sunknudsen @floomy4tw @ProtonCalendar @ProtonMail @signalapp It works without Play services but requires Play services for push notifications since they only support using FCM and don't have a fallback to their own push like Signal or WhatsApp. That's a common issue with a lot of apps which only partially work without Play services.

Your issue is either that you haven't granted the battery optimization exception to Play services or your VPN provider dropping FCM connections.

The issue is likely an issue with the VPN provider you're using killing the FCM push connections faster than Play services tolerates. That wouldn't be an issue specific to GrapheneOS and would happen on stock too.

It requests a battery optimization exception (Unrestricted battery usage) from you. If you rejected that when they requested it, you can still enable it at any time to fix this.

Hey @ProtonMail, invites in emails show up as UTC regardless of what I had set in the calendar (which correctly converts to CEST). Do you have any idea how to fix that?

@parker_dao I switched over to Protonmail as my outlook/ hotmail emails would often end up in the junk folder.
I also had an issue with website submissions ending up in my junk bin.
A whole mess it was.

Now they just sent an email advising that "good" news, they've removed that choice and you'll be stuck with crappy "upgrade".

@meetdaphne So I read ALOT about email servers & encryption and talked with multiple network engineers about this. Essentially it’s as simple as ProtonMail is being flagged my larger email clients like google, yahoo, etc. it’s been a problem for 5+ years. ProtonMail has tried to fix it

I have tried using PGP/GPG before, but never found it worth the h***le. ProtonMail seems to strike a nice balance of security and UX.

ProtonMail to Gmail, now that is an issue. Clients don't check their Gmail spam box.
