Watch out when upgrading to #hotwire Turbo 7.3, we had to fix dozens of links in our admin section that we unknowingly used to break out of Turbo Frames. This no longer works and Turbo shows a "Content missing" message instead. A welcome but risky upgrade! https://t.co/pIJMZnKG1Y

FYI, Don't bother renting from @Hotwire. I rent from them at least once a month. Had one issue and they were like 🤷. Glad I can dispute it with the CC company.

@dhh @37signals @heyhey Hotwired seemed really neat, but I was never able to realize that feeling your talking about. I spent most of the time crawling. I think the core problem was the docs. I really struggled to make anything work. Y’all need a @sarah11918 to help make it more accessible to new people

@has_many_books I like Stimulus. But it feels like you need to really double down on the whole Hotwire thing right from the start. Not trying to do what you're doing though so I don't know what its limits are. I guess you found them?

@georgeboot It depends on what kind of issues you're having. Hotwire also has its own quirks and trade-offs, so hard to tell if something would be better on it. IME, there's usually a way to work around a problem in both approaches by rethinking the design, the feature, or sometimes both.

@jsemotionz @bullettrainco Same learning curve issue: just haven't taken the time to really understand how to implement hotwire. I get the concept, but need to practice. My generic rails back-end should work for what I need, and then simple Next.js front-ends hosted on Netlify or Vercel might be perfect.
